Welcome to  RED WING MOPS!

We are so excited to invite you to join our community of moms that are here to support, laugh, and learn together.

Have Questions? We've answered some for you!

What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and exists to encourage, equip and help women become better moms. MOPS connects mothers all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel equipped and to find their identity by journeying alongside one another.

Who can be in MOPS?

MOPS is open for ALL mothers of children from birth through kindergarten (5 or 6 years old).

What if my kids are school aged?

Don't worry! MOMSnext is for you! MOMSnext is for moms of children kindergarten - high school.

What happens at a MOPS meeting?

Bi-monthly meetings include yummy food, fellowship, a topical speaker, discussion group time with the same group of women each meeting, and the opportunity to create something useful for your home. This is a chance for you to carve out some time for yourself. Time to think, to talk, to laugh with new friends and to realize you’re not alone on this journey called motherhood and this season of life with young children.

What to expect?

You can expect a warm meal, small groups, deep discussion, practical help, time to chat, get a little crafty, learn to lead, mentoring from seasoned moms, and new friendships.

Is there childcare available?

AM GROUP ONLY: Childcare is available. During the time you are nurturing yourself, your kids will be lovingly cared for by staff and volunteers that will provide a preschool-like environment in age appropriate rooms. Your kids will have a chance to do crafts, listen to stories and songs, play games, have a snack, and make new friends. There will be several different themes explored throughout the semester. Every effort is made to ensure your child has a safe and positive experience at MOPS KIDS. Head there first and drop your kiddos off and then join us. Please promptly pick your children up at 11AM.

PM Group:  Our hopes are to add limited childcare as this new group grows.  If you have childcare concerns, please email redwingmops@gmail.com.

What is a Mentor Mom?

Sometimes we need a wise woman who has been there and done that to bounce ideas off of. That’s why we love our Mentor moms, they have sage advice and willing ears. Also, a mentor mom is someone whose kids have all aged out of kindergarten. If you are interested in seeing if this is a good fit for you, please contact Crystal Olson at redwingmops@gmail.com for more information.

How much does it cost to join MOPS/MOMSnext and attend meetings?

The cost for moms to join MOPS International is $35 for the year. You receive a MOPS welcome kit, which includes all sorts of goodies from MOPS and a subscription to the MOPS Magazine.

Red Wing MOPS fees are $64 per mom annually.  This covers the cost of speakers, events, coffee/beverages, crafts and more.
